Holistic Massage
What does holistic mean? Holistic means 'whole' in the Greek, which means that this form of massage deals with you as a 'whole'.
Holistic massage treats the symptoms as well as the cause, whether it is internal or external. The aim is to rebalance the body so it achieves homeostasis (internal equilibrium) which is sometimes better defined as “homeodynamic” because the body is never static.
The benefits of this treatment include lymphatic drainage, relief to stiff or sore muscles, and cellular detoxification through increased circulation.
Massage can increase muscular tone by melting the “glue” or “fuzz” that builds up between the bags of muscles if you do not stretch or exercise. (Think of a cat after waking)
Massage can also help deal with emotional problems such as grief and depression by releasing stored trauma in the ligaments and tendons.
After an initial consultation I refine and tailor the full body massage to your personal needs by introducing different techniques for relaxation and muscle tension relief utilising, among other things, deep tissue work, neuromuscular techniques, reiki and /or pressure point work on the feet, hands and head to ensure the most relaxing timeout for you.
Go on; relax, pamper yourself and forget the world around you....
